View Full Version : "Rescue Me" on FX
Scallica 03-26-06, 10:36 AM Anyone here a fan of "Rescue Me" on FX?
This is my favorite show, and one of the best new shows on TV, so I decided to start a thread about it.
Season 3 began filming in February and should air this June.
The Season 2 DVD will be available May 2nd.
Allan_Wagner 03-27-06, 06:37 PM BIG FAN... I'm looking forward to the new season, the offical page is useless. I'll be subscribing to the thread
Scallica 03-27-06, 06:52 PM Yes, the official forum is a wasteland.
Check out the unofficial RM forum at... http://www.rescuemeforum.com/
MB The Body 04-09-06, 12:49 AM Season 3 premieres May 30th at 10 pm.... i just wish FX had an HD channel to air their shows on :(
Scallica 04-19-06, 06:34 AM Susan Sarandon will be a guest star this season.
I also heard Marisa Tomei will be a guest too.
Scallica 05-04-06, 07:53 PM For those that cannot wait until May 30th, here is a sneak preview of Season 3.

Scallica 07-02-06, 07:59 AM So what does everyone think about Season 3?
CableTool 07-07-06, 09:48 PM Im fully loving Rescue Me as well. I can do without the onslought of commericals though. Has anyone noticed ( without ever doing an actual count ) how MANY commercials RM has? It might just be my perception but it seems to be a lot more then usual..
Dartman 07-08-06, 01:12 PM Been watching it since the beginning and have all shows on disk from my panny e80h
plus bought season 1 and working on season 2.
Great show with some twists and turns and a lot of good characters all acted well.
Hope the quality keeps up and it lives for a long run.

I think that is what you get, when you are virtually the only "new" show on a network - The Shield suffers from the same problem. Does FX even have any other original programming? While I didn't watch it, I would be willing to bet that Over There had it's share of advertising also.
Oh yeah, I forgot - they had The Thief, or Heist, or whatever it was. Shield and Rescue Me are pretty good. Really haven't got hooked into anything else.
Scallica 05-17-07, 07:40 PM Rescue Me season 4 starts Wednesday, June 13th!
bendog2784 05-19-07, 06:35 PM I thought The Shield had less commercials then most other shows I have watched. FX also has Nip/Tuck and the Riches as original programs. Artie Lange will be guest starring on this season of RM in seven episodes I think. I will be watching.
lacombo 05-19-07, 07:59 PM wasnt the end of last season, crazy chic burnt the house with Tommy in it?
will def be watchin anyway.
Colton_45 05-20-07, 05:06 PM Rescue Me season 4 starts Wednesday, June 13th!
I thought it was May 29th
I'm also a big fan of Rescue Me. I Saw part of the first season in 2004 and somehow I got busy and lost interest and started watching every episode of Season 2 and 3. I can't wait until it comes on again. I finally have something to watch now! :D
I can't wait !
They film all of the ice hockey scenes at the rink where I play.
Ice House - Hackensack NJ
Workindood 05-28-07, 07:33 PM Rescue Me season 4 starts Wednesday, June 13th!
When does the Season 3 DVD come out? I would assume about now then?
This morning my DVR scheduled the next first run episode of RM, June 13, 10 PM. Can't wait.
I love this show! Can't wait for it to start. :D
Kind of weird how everything jumped ahead from last seasons ending, but a very good return episode. Looks to be another great season. Wish we could see this in HD, but at least it's shown in widescreen so you can zoom to fill your 16:9 screen.
isuphipsi1052 06-14-07, 06:46 AM As a long-time firefighter, I've got to say this show comes as close to life at the "house" as I've seen. Great show...
So you can get season 3 in HD glory. But watching the show last night was a fuzzy blurry mess. Granted, we only had a 32" standard def tv before, but man it looked bad. Only because we love the show was I able to deal with it.
The blu ray release makes it very tempting to skip it for now, and buy or rent it later.
Come on, Fox, get with the times.

Man I would hate to work at your firehouse. As one myself I would have to say that you are right and wrong. You don't see this kind of drama in a small city firehouse. Granted a big city like NY, Boston, Chicago, SF, they all have thier F uped situations. But not your normal 10 station department. I do love this show cause it is so out there and I can relate with some of the things that go on. FX needs to go HD allready...
Scallica 06-20-07, 08:55 PM Anyone watching Rescue Me this season? It starts in 5 minutes!!
I am about to go watch it now on delay so I can skip the commercials.
Dartman 06-20-07, 09:30 PM I usually cap it to my Philips or Panasonic settop dvd recorders with hard drives and edit and watch later. Looks like another great season...
Going to have to get season 3 on dvd, missed the last episode even with all the gear
pegisys 08-31-07, 05:49 PM I couldn't find a more up to date thread for Rescue me so I posted here
but has anyone else notices the product placement that has went on the last few shows. They mentioned vitamin water about 5 times in a conversation about hockey
Then there is the Jetta which they basically recited the entire transcript from the VW commercials 3 times in 2 shows.
I don't have a problem with product placement, you know a "pass me a vitamin water", a "I'm going to get my daughter a Jetta because they are safe" or just having different products sitting out, but I think what they are starting to do is a little over the top
Renewed for a 22 episode (split in two) 5th season.

Damn that writer's strike. It has screwed up most of my favorite shows!!
neil0311 04-12-08, 07:57 PM Any idea when the season 4 DVDs will be available? Due to moving across the country in Aug., I missed most of the season.
Well the first "minisode" aired last night. It was good to get a little taste of the show again, but it was kinda strange at the same time.

Was this a new episode for the new season??
No. The next season won't start until the spring of 2009. For the next several weeks they are running 5 minute "minisodes" Tuesday's at 10 to keep the show in people's minds. They are all new material. There are just one scene so all of them combined would be like one episode.
Thanks. I didn't think that this was on this year, damn writer's strike.
Looks like we can finally talk about the show in the HDTV Programing section. The minisode was in HD.
