I set up analog outs on the A35 going into a Rotel Pre/Pro going by the distance setting for delay by measurment. This weekend I wanted to tweek these using the Phase test signals on Avia II test disk. I sit slightly off center on my R&L front speakers so I adjust the delay to shift the Phantom image between the front speakers and then work around the room with the Center & Sourrounds (works very well with my Pre/Pro & Denon BD player). Now, I adjusted the distance on my LT Front speaker ranging from 0 to 20 feet leaving the RT front set @ 12 feet WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT on the sound!
Am I missing something on the A35 player, these distance setting don't do anything. Are they just for looks?
I have debating changing this A35 back out for my A1 because I think the analog section of the A1 is better but I don't remember "IF" the A1 shares this issue?
Anyone try this test with the A1? Comments??
Thanks, Bob..
