Terminator 2 is now part of LionsGate's library. Since they're heavily rumored to be the studio who's going to now support HD DVD, I would expect it on that format sometime this year.

The D-THEATER that was made from the older, softer, dirtier master and not the new-and-improved frame-by-frame restored version that is used for all new releases? OK, you enjoy that now. :D

I will enjoy it with my three other T2 versions (SD dvd x 2 and PSP)... That dirtier D-THEATER version blows away the sd versions (by a ton)... And so far with what BluRay is offering (upconverted looking transfers) I think I will enjoy my D-THEATER version better anyway... :D

Well there still is that persistent rumor floating around that LG is going to support HD DVD. Not much hope there but on the bright side it's about the same odds as Blu-ray having dual layer discs this year. :)

I can post wherever the hell I want. Last time I checked I have many posts. Besides the point is I am telling others who own T2 they to shouldn't worry about getting it if they already own the D-THEATER version. I also own nearly every HD DVD (as well as the HD DVD DEMO) as well. SO I think I qualify for being able to post in the HD DVD area. Mr. 33 posts! :mad:

I bet T2 will be released here this fall or at least overseas via Studio Canal....either way, we will have it.

If its the overseas version, you will probably just have to pay a bit more.

Good can you start a thread about not replacing D-theater movies and see if the Admin will sticky it, because I would rather not hear about it every time a person brings up a movie they want to come out or has already came on either new format, that just so happens to have come out on D-VHS as well.

Don't worry - you won't hear it often given the limited number of D-Theater releases.

Joe, I can certainly understand that you're proud of your D-Theater library with it's 92 titles. Heck, I would be, too. Having said that, it's a wee bit annoying to see you bounce on a thread and not contribute anything besides "I've got it for D-Theater." It's not like this is the first time of that happening.

I assume the real reasons have been discussed, I did a quick search through the HD-DVD/BlueRay software forums, but didn't find a recent answer.

Things that came to mind:
a) films owned by different studios, each with/without contract to Sony
b) There is no format war - we must buy both players
c) People who like quality scripts buy Bluy Ray (T1)
d) People who like clear images buy HD-DVD (T3 better print because it's more recent)

I am looking forward to ordering T2 on HD DVD from Amazon UK. From a past thread I think it will be out in the second wave of European HD DVD releases.

The Extreme DVD comes with the WMVHD version and an SD version, both from that 1080p master. The WMV is pretty damn good, especially since it's like 10 bucks now.

I am looking forward to ordering T2 on HD DVD from Amazon UK.

Unfortunately the Second wave is not due until Feb or March. We Europeans will have to make do with the Rambos and Basic instinct with DTS MA in the mean time.
