This might seem like a stupid question but, can i use a normal RCA jack (keystone passthrough) for my digial audio coax cable? I am trying to find the right wall mount for this cable but I am having a hard time finding anything that has an ORANGE RCA connector in a modular jack system (such as keystone). So I am begining to think that that the RCA passthrough can be of any type as long as it's RCA. Is that true? If it is then why doesnt anyone at least make an orange connector so it's color coded correctly??
thanks!
Yes. You can use any RCA keystone for your audio. I've looked for the orange connectors as well, and haven't found them either. I don't know why they don't make them.

Leviton's Quickport series of wall plates have an orange jack, but only for the 110 punchdown style. I'm also looking for orange, as well as red, green, and blue. I'm thinking of just buying the plain ones and coloring the plastic part the appropriate colors.
Edit, I just found RGB ones, but for some strange reason they still don't have orange.

Not exactly what you need, but this place (http://www.minute-man.com/acatalog/Panel_Mounted_RCA_Jacks.html) has RCA jacks with orange inserts, but they are panel mount - not for a modular faceplate. But you could use a blank insert and drill a mounting hole.

You can use one of these with a Decors insert.

I saw a suggestion somewhere to buy white RCA jacks and then use colored markers on the white insulators to make them red, green, blue, orange, etc.

I don't think the color is really important. What is important is the audio quality transmission. There are definitely coaxial digital audio cables on the market, but why not appropriate jacks?
You do realize that you woke up a 4 year old thread?
