just curious if anyone has tried the MediaGate MG-35 with a 750gb Seagate perpendicular recording hard drive. i was thinking about upgrading my MediaGate when the price of these drives come down.

here is the response from their tech support. well, when the drives get cheap enough, i'll buy one and let everyone know if it works.

We tested up to 500GB, there was no problem. But we cannot guarantee about '750GB'.

according to the official mediagate forums (http://mediagateusa.s10.forumsplace.com/viewtopic.php?t=7) , you can use a 750gb seagate drive in the mg-35.

I checked the forum that was linked too. They confirm that the Seagate 750GB does work, according to them.. Anyone take the splurge yet? I just looking to see if there is a second opinion..

Thanks

I finally took the splurge.. Found the drive for under 200 with free shipping, much cheaper than most at the moment. But price should still be falling since the TB drives are out now.
