I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this sub:

It seems to be a more powerful version of the H-100. Same driver and a bit more power(200 watts RMS). For $299.00 it looks like it can give even more bang for the buck in terms of shear output. Also, like the PB10, it doesn't have any speaker level inputs, but it does offer the flexability of a built in crossover. Any comments would be appreciated.

Hmmmmmm... None of you sub geniuses have anything to say about this new subwoofer?
How about you H-100 fans?........ Very interesting.......but not what I expected.

It looks nice. Not a lot of info about it and the one review was uninformative. But 24Hz to 20kHz (+-3db), that's impressive for a sub.

Its a white van speaker company.

How do you know this? Acoustech is still the brand.

Digging this one back up, as far as I can find Premier is a BIC brand and this sub seems to be a notch up from the H-100 but I'd be interested in some first-hand info also.

Are these really white van speakers?

No, I ended up getting one and it really is a decent sub. It is built very well with good fit and finish.
I was leery when I first opened it because it had that Harbor Freight Tool made in China smell. :)

What makes you say that? If they are, they are a pretty good white van speaker company. I had two PA 12's and for the price they performed a whole lot better than anything you can get at a b&m store for twice the price. The reason I don't have them anymore is that I made the mistake and listened to an SVS sub. :) Enough said.

An old thread but why isn't this getting some play? It can be had for just a couple bucks more than the H-100.

I actually won this sub on HTForum last year. I can attest to its build quality. Very solid and it is not boomy at all. I could not tell you exactly how low it goes but for the money it is decent. Very nice finish. It is far better than the JBL 12" sub and the B&M store 12" subs.

I have a HSU tn1220 and have owned numerous SVS subs-no it does not really compete with those. Surprisingly to me was that it is really tight. Usually with these subs you would expect SPL's but in the 45-60 hz region. This sub is pretty flat in my room. Again, no boomy or bloated sub farting noises...

It was free for me but for $250 or so it should be given a look.

Yeah, it's hard to find reviews on this. I've been looking at the H-100, then the whole Acoustech speaker set vs. these PA speakers...seems to be the same company? I've wanted a more powerful version of the H-100 (but not $600 worth), so this sub might be a good compromise.

Just got this for around $189 shipped after MSLIve cashback (25% off) on ebay. I can say it is amazing. I haven't heard the H100 by BIC (seems the same), but compared to the the Kilpsch model (around $400 at Cir City) it comes out on top. I think it is somewhere between that and the Boston Acoustics subs (which are a lot more). Then again, I'm not the best Subwoofer tester in the world since I don't have a pile at home to choose from.

In my opinion it straddles the fence between movies and music fairly well. It is probably more Home Theatre-oriented, but it is not a noise box. Doesn't have a dedicated LFE-in for those that care though, but much more than adequate for my needs.

I may be wrong here (and it may not effect performance at all) but I seem to remember that the H100 has a MUCH larger surround on the driver.
