it may be a long time before we see any of the alien franchise or avp. if i'm not mistaken they are all fox films and fox is supporting blu ray. i think sin city is dimension. i may be wrong but i think dimension is supporting hd-dvd so that one is possible. i am not sure of the studios for the others so i have no idea.

Of course this is just a small collection of the movies I´d buy without thinking twice. There´s a lot more I would want on HD-DVD. :)
And I realize that some of these movies will be Blu-Ray exclusive. :( But I guess I can wait a little longer. Either they´ll be released on HD-DVD in a few years, or I´ll get a Blu-Ray player once the quality and price are on HD-DVD level.

For a realistic release, I would LOVE to see The Producers (2005 musical version) released. I really enjoyed the film, and the music would sound great in TrueHD (or even just DD+). I think it would be a good candidate of something recent that could show off HD, without being so popular that they would want to hold off until more players are out there.

LOTR, Matrix, and the Sar Wars movies are all well and good but jeez, how about some movies that haven't been watched to death? ;)

Shawshank. I think this movie is way underated although its sort of built a fan base because of TNT. It has excellent blacks, is would be a great movie to show off in HD. Very crisp movie, one of 3 movies that can get me to cry.

Glory . Great movie, although the Cinematography isnt the greatest i think it would still be great in HD.

Gladiator. Ofcourse

Forrest Gump. Cry everytime. Pretty good PQ aswell that would benefit alot from HD.
