I just got a Westinghouse 42" LCD and upgraded my Cablevision box to the SE 3800HD. The problem I'm having is I'm not getting any sound from the HDMI cable I'm using, only video. In order to get sound I need to plug in a seperate audio cable. I checked the cable box settings and for Audio: Digital Out is set to HDMI. Anyone else having this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just got mine 8300 setup last night. I had the same problem at first but when I changed the Audio from Dolby Digital to HDMI the sound worked as expected. It was about a 2 second delay after changing that before I could hear the sound.

Have a Philips 50" Plasma and the 8300HD DVR.
Got a new tv stand, and finally hooked up my HDMI cable from box to TV, worked fine for about two weeks. While watching a recorded show, I fast forwarded through commericals, started to play again and had no sound.
Have powered on and live connected in every imaginable order, still nothing. Only get video.

I have changed the settings on TV and 8300 without success.

Any ideas? I have nothing else HDMI so I cant really test the stuff out. Short of buying an HDMI dvd player and cable and returning after I find the culprit...
