Hi. Here's another message regarding getting the right resolution out of a Mac Mini (Dual Core)
I've got it hooked up via DVI to my Hitachi 32PD5200. Not a bad picture, but it only gives me one resolution option - 1024x768, which is 4:3 and therefore gets stretched to fill the 16:9 shaped screen.
The 32PD5200's native resolution is 1024x852, which isn't an improvement anyway.
I've tried using SwitchResX to some (limited) success and, after much hassle, I've found a resolution which kinda works and is, at least, 16:9-ish - 1280x720
The trouble is, it's overscanning, so the top, left, bottom and, I guess, right is cropped off (Monitors Control Panel doesn't give me the overscan option to turn off)
My question is - does anyone know the correct settings to use in SwitchResX? Or, failing that, can anyone explain to me what all this Front Porch business is all about, cos I honestly don't have a clue!!
Cheers
Peter
