The final script was something like 1500 word.

I'm also working on some unique stuff for the second disc. I'll let everyone know when it's ready.

I finally found some time to edit together the audio portion of my intended custom voiceover. I used Amadeus II (Mac sound editor) to splice together the various segments to create the voice track and then brought that into Apple's iMovie HD to mix it with a musical score. Ultimately, I will eventually add some video or slide show (I'm already talking to a graphics artist friend about a custom Booth Bijou logo). But, for now, I'm simply going to use it with a black screen (audio only). Anyway, here's what I came up with (mp3 audio minus any video):

Watch the threads. I'll be setting up a n "take 2" thread sometime near the end of the week. We'll keep it open for about a month this time.

A month!? I'm all for getting as many folks on board as possible (keeps individual costs down) but waiting 4-6 weeks for my next disc will be too much torture! :D

So, how does this work, the files come on a CD and then you load the files onto a computer and play them that way or what? This is such a neat idea, but I wonder how you all are taking those phrases and putting them together?

Hi,

Files come on CD in .WAV format. You then use a audio software package
like Audacity -> http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ to piece the phrases
you want together.

Then combine them with Reapers 'Fox' Intro and Steven Good's Trivia slides
and bammo you burn yourself a custom intro DVD.

What Lumpy said. But I use Amadeus II on the Mac to edit together the various shorter lines of speach into the sentences I want. I then added background music in iMovie HD and adjusted the volume of each track (fade down and up) until I got the appropriate mix. I'll eventually go back and add some video too.

So, yes, you edit it all together on a computer. You can then burn it to DVD but I much prefer the HT PC route. Mix and match various intros, tailers, etc. and play them relatively seamlessly. Just like going to the movie house.

I'm having a few lines reread. I have enough $ left over to cover the costs of the revision which is at a lower rate anyhow. I'll let you know when the files are ready. I'm goign to have them read the same day i do volume 2.

Is it possible to download the file, if so, where would the link be. This sounds awesome!. I would like to try it with Reapers Fox file. Great work Max,

P.S, Is a c.d an option to purchase if there is not a download?

This was version 1. When we originally did the disc people signed up for custom lines. After the read a number of people bought copies of the disc and requested that we do it again because they missed out on the custom lines. So we did it again =) Same thing as the first time but no overlap of generic lines. That way everyone gets the most out of the set.

In case anyone is interested, we are currently having Bob read volume 3 as well as volumes 1 & 2. This is because Greg's price has climbed to an outragous rate. Going forward I will be using Bob for these reads.

I know some of you were interested in having your reads done by Bob. Copies of the new read (vol 1-3) are available to anyone participating in volume 3.
