I am using a Motorola HD DVR and cannot get Dolby 5.1 to play through the optical audio input. It's not the cable box, since it works on my main stereo receiver. Anyone run into this and have a solution? I have a call into LG and they are supposed to get back to me.

Edit: Solution was to reset the cable box and re-insert the optical cable. LG has the best bang for the buck in the HTiB market, IMO.

I have the same problem when using the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3250HD with this LG system. I haven't tried resetting the cable box. Somehow I don't believe that will make a difference.

I haven't found a fix.

Don't know if this helps, but I can get Dolby 5.1 out of my Xbox 360 using the digital input on this LG HTIB.

i ask as I'm getting HD service and the new H20 DVR in 2 weeks.
