I've got a moto 6412 from mediacom and it recently started rebooting off and on when I used the DVR or even guide functions. The other night, each time I tried to access my recorded items it would turn off, go through some motions and then come back on. Of course then I cannot access the DVR for several minutes. It seems to be hit or miss. Mediacom sent some new "codes" to it and that seemed to help for about an hour but then it started doing it again.

I think I've seen complaints about this box rebooting from others but the cs rep seemed puzzled as if they'd never heard this before. I can't believe that to be the case. The last one speculated that it could be a power issue on my side. That seems to be odd as nothing has changed in my setup and none of my devices has ever lost power during these episodes. Is the box that sensitive that a slight drop in voltage might cause it to reboot?

Anyway, anyone else seeing this from this box and is the ultimate resolution always replacement?

Anyone else having problems with this box and mediacom? I had a new box installed and it's doing the same thing.

I didn't have any problems prior to getting HD enabled but ever since, I've had on and off problems.

Essentially this can happen about any time but it is especially prone to happening when I access the DVR functions. Just wonderful.
