I would like to know if someone has used this universal tool made by Steren, http://www.smarthome.com/849301.html

If so, do you it can work with this RCA compression connector, http://www.smarthome.com/8556c4.html

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Neil

I'm looking at that tool right now. Did you ever try it out? Or go with another tool? Any recommendations?

I have some F-conn connectors that I bought, but unfortunately, the cheap compression tool I bought (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?PartNumber=360-046&raid=51&rak=360-046) will not work properly with them. I think I need something adjustable like the one you mention.

Also got belden 1505F cable, which I think may end up giving me trouble since it has a stranded center conductor. :(

You need the connectors listed right under that URL link @ Parts Express to use with your "cheap" compression tool. They have F, RCA, and BNC available.

To use the F-Conn stuff, I'd say you need the F-Conn tool or maybe one that is compatible with their connectors.

v1rtu0s1ty,
Did you ever buy that tool? How is it? Have you terminated and F connectors with it and which ones did you use?
