The onboard sound on my PC just doesn't play nice with BF2. I have random issues with the microphone switching to static in TS while playing. It seems to be tied to when the map changes. When it happens, I alt tab out to desktop and shut down teamspeak. After restarting TS a couple times it will clear itself up. I don't have this issue in any app except BF2.
After many months of tolerating it, my friends jsut can't take my static anymore. I am pretty sure I have the latest sound drivers. I think I will need to add a soundcard to remedy this.
My plan was to pop a Chaintech 710 in the PC, but it looks like that card has disappeared from the market.
Any suggestions on a good, low cost, sound card to fix me up?
If anyone has ideas on other things to try besides a sound card, I'm all ears for that, too.
My motherboard with the onboard sound is a Asus A8N-VM CSM NVIDIA 6150 M/B, btw.
