I haven't owned Madden for years and decided to take the plunge this year and get '07 for my Xbox 360. So far, I love the game and have had a blast playing online with a few friends of mine on Live.

Here is my issue. I have now played 5 games over Live, and have been disconnected out of 4 of those games, so my DNF % is at 80% I believe, which is obviously terrible. Each time, I would be in the middle of a play, the screen would freeze, and a few seconds later I would get a player has been disconnected message.

I know it's me that is disconnecting because I called one of my friends immediately when this happened last night and he had option to continue vs. the CPU, quit, etc. I on the other hand simply get the disconnected message, and then press A to get sent back to the Madden online menu.

Here is what is weird. Never during any of these disconnects have I been disconnected from Live. I only simple get booted back to the menu, but I am still on Live. That is really weird? If I'm not being disconnted from these games because of internet connection issues, the why am I being disconnected?

Is anyone else having these types of problems? I want to be able to play a friend and actually finish a game, not to mention try to play someone random off of Live at time. If this keeps up, no one will want to play me.

Typical: EA servers always perform very inconsistently. I've seen issues on both Madden and NCAA along the lines you describe. I've double checked everthing on my end, and it's all good.

My roommate plays Madden (I don't) but he's complained of the same issues you've spoken about. I do play Burnout: Revenge on Live and that is also a EA game in which my experience is often quite mediocre with frequent disconnects.

I have heard a bunch of complaints about lag, but to be honest, I haven't experienced that at all. As bad as lag is, at least you still get to play the game and don't get tagged as a quitter/cheater.

Seriously, I have dropped out of 80% of my games. That number is astonishing!!!

True, but honestly, there are a lot of lamers out there that really do disconnect prematurely or "have accidental power outtages" and the rest of it.

That's why I really don't play online that much. Between lame DNFs and cheaters...I basically stay confined to my buddy list or I just don't bother.

Ok I just got XBox Live and I have Madden 07. I have only gotten to play 2 and half games 1 in a half of which I got kicked of for no reason...I have called Comcast and Microsoft. Comcast said that there connection was great they looked up everything and said that their end of it was perfectly fine. Microsoft said I must have had a defult Madden so i spent my whole damn day driving around for it and I finally got a new one...Butu not I am still having the same problem I have seen that you have kinda the same problem I dont know if id EA or what the hell it is lol Its driving me NUTS I even had to get snart with the guy at microsoft...I am just so damn frustrated I dont know what to do I do know though if this continues I will never buy and EA game again. And not to mention my Gears of War and Project Gotham work fine online e-mail me or comment back I want to know who else is having this problem
