I am looking for the FINAL 2.0, not the pre-release Beta.

I have the RCA player and they have yet to post this on their site. Is there somewhere I can get the Toshiba FINAL 2.0 and burn it to a CD?

Thanks

The pre release Beta would be 1.9 or less. 2.0 is 2.0 because if any changes were made it would have to be at least 2.01.

RCA seems to move a little slower than Toshiba when it comes to the firmware
upgrades.

True HD sounds amazing.

I guess he was refering to the "bootleg" v2.0 FW that got leaked on to the net a few days before the official update went live on Tosh's servers.

I guess we have to wait till someone receives the official FW v2.0 discs from Toshiba in mail, and then uploads an ISO of the disc. I would be interested in downloading it too. I wouldn't risk using wireless for the update, and I don't have wired ethernet connection near the player.

Come on RCA, what is taking so damn long!

The Toshiba update has been available for a week now. Get on the ball.

Has anyone received the 2.0 disc from Toshiba yet? That's what I'm waiting for.

Sure - try www.1080x1920.net You have to register (free) to be able to download, there are plenty of other things too (like utilities to burn ISO Disk Image files etc.).
Remember to burn the file as Disk Image (NOT DATA CD), use the slowest speed your burner would allow (to minimize write errors).
Put the disc into the player, close drawer and from then on, follow on-screen instructions. On Acceptance Screen you have to move cursor from default "NO" to "YES" (not obvious - many people missed this one).
You will see % progress on player's display (not screen), and when it's done it will open drawer and shut down. Remove the disc and turn it back on, you are done!

Good luck, and have fun,

Kris
