Any idea on Price?
Will it play Nero Digital?

THis is and old thread but....I just bought one of these things yesterday. I got quite addicted to it in the 6 or so hours it works---then the video output died and I'm looking at wrangling with buy.com for a refund---not an exchange... I paid 179 for it btw which is a good price but you know going in at this stage that it's discontinued, not HD and not leading edge.

Nero digital is MPEG-4-compatible so I'm guessing "Yes" it will play it. It played just about everything I had lying around on 2 or 3 PC's on my network.

So I'm wondering what to try next... there are wireless media servers from Linkksys, D-link...there's XBOX...there's a new model of linktheater with a DVD...

Had the PC-PRLWAG not died I probably would have been pretty happy with it for awhile.

Are you sure it's discontinued? It was announced like 6 monthes ago, discontiued already? The only thing holding me back is no DVI or HDMI.

Well you may be right. It's still listed as a product. I thought it was discontinued because it's not EVEN listed in the drop down for manuals, plugins, updates etc. There it's either the 3PL WG/DVD** or the PL1-Lan Linktheater mini

**which does support HD & a LOT more format (audio & video)

Acording to this (http://www.buffalotech.com/products/multimedia/linktheater-ag/linktheater-wireless-ag-network-media-player/) it does 720P.

I own the original LinkTheater with the DVD and was wondering about this new model. You said you played a lot of stuff.

Does it play ISO's, VOB's of DVD's that you have ripped? And is it 1080i?

What about HD ts streams from TV tuner recordings?

Will these things play if you use the WIZD software with your new player?
