But WTF is up with changing the opening music?!?!??!?!

12 years, and NOW they change it?

Wow. That was a great episode, the end of the kidnapping storyline was perfect. Oh, and Linda Cardellini is smokin hot.

I don't know if it's changed music, or just tonight because they were leaving off where they left. They didn't show the credits like they usually do.

Loved the ending...BLAM BLAM BLAM!

The son grew up FAST in the space of a day. :p

Anyway, a decent episode. The new(?) intro/music... seems like they're trying to attract a younger audience.

Now ... how the heck is "Jerry" going to be in LA and Vancouver ("Men in Trees") at the same time. I'm shocked that he survived last night ... and you could see the ending coming a mile away. ;) :D

Just when you think Kovac is settling down he flips out. That guy's gotta be bi-polar or something... I also thought Jerry was a gonner. I'll say one thing, he sure was recovering from the open heart surgery quickly. One minute he's on the table with his chest wide open and the next he's visiting with everybody in his room! Ahhh, life in the old ER :).

Yeah I cant believe the changed the classic openning music. Anyhow, ER still disapoints me. It hasn't been good since the end of season 9. I still watch just hoping for it to be a glimmer of what it used to be. Most of the medicine is gone and its replaced with soap opera drama of the characters outside lives.

Every time I see her I get upset that Freaks and Geeks was cancelled :(

A good enough lawyer for her will convince a jury that it was self-defense.

It wasn't?

It would take a seriously twisted prosecutor to even bring it to trial. Come on folks ... kidnapped at gunpoint by three escaping/ed felons? No jury would convict.

OTOH, given the bizarre Leguisamo (appolgies for any spelling error) story line last year, anything is possible on ER. :D

She killed the man in his sleep, I don't know how anyone could call it self-defense.
The way his body is situated and the amount of times she fired, the police will have a lot of questions for her.

No question it was murder, but given the circumstances I doubt a DA would bring charges.

My point was that in her mind it was. She just witnessed her ex-boyfriend/captor kill two people, then he raped her, and told her she would alway be with him. He was in prison and still got to her, I don't think she saw any way to protect her son or herself from him other than what she did.

I don't know what they are gong to do with the character, is there another Scooby-Do movie in the works?

another good episode. guess we'll be seeing kerry back in the ER on a regular basic now. i think shes back to an attending now after being demoted.

on a side note, it is now confirmed that the intro music that was there for 12 seasons is gone and now it's just like a 5 sec caption of the word "ER" with crappier music. pretty crappy. i loved that old music. it totally set me into the mood.

ER definitely isn't what it used to be. None of the original character/actors are still in the show, and yes, the episodes are starting to veer off of the medicine side of things, and focus more on personal lives. The storylines are getting a little generic, as well.. but I guess after 13 years, ideas start getting a little sparse. I wouldn't be surprised if this is their last season :(

And I agree..I hated it when they took off Freaks and Geeks... Linda played her character very well!

Was it just me, or were there two shots heard on the rooftop?

Correct. I said the same thing to my wife while we were watching. I said there were two shots.... thinking Kovac perhaps shot him in a struggle (and maybe took the first bullet in the arm or something).

But no, they showed us what appeared to be a suicide, one shot into the temple. No way possible for you to get two shots off like that. You're already dead before the next bullet is in the chamber.

It ended up being a stupid episode IMO. The police would have had a sniper in an adjacent building with a clear kill shot the entire time they were up there talking.

It sounded like two shots, but could have been an echo given the type of buildings. I also thought it was somewhat of a lame episode.

Did anyone else experience a horrible HD picture during ER on 10-18-07? It looked like a very bad SD pic. It had pixels everywhere. Horrible, just horrible.

Mine was okay, except for the tight shot of Derek Lee jogging after the homerun. Lots of nasty blockiness there.

Man, are they ever let Abby gonna be happy?

Agreed. I think that Mekhi Phifer is one of the best actors on the show and has been for the last 3 seasons.

Mine was the WORST HD I have ever seen. Maybe it was just our local NBC17.
