I have a Pioneer XV-HTD510 surround sound system. I know, it's a little dated, lol, but the thing has served me well, and still does, aside from the lack of modern hookups like component and HDMI, but it's not that big of a deal. Problem is, my remote is busted in a bunch of ways. The battery cover had a little piece of plastic pop off, so it no longer stays on so the batteries are exposed and sometimes fall out or come loose and the remote won't work unless I hold em in. Also, something was spilled on it so the power button doesn't work at all, and some of the other buttons will make it go haywire sometimes. Like you press volume up and it changes the disc, or you press play and it shuts the system off, or sometimes it changes the source just by pointing the remote at the system, not even pressing a button. I'll be listening to a CD and go to turn it up and I point the remote that way and it switches to AUX or something, lol.

Anyway, to get to the point, I wanna just get a univeral remote and have it control everything so I don't need like 3 remotes for everything and because the Pioneer remote is busted anyway. The problem I'm having is I can't find a code for the Pioneer system. I've tried all of the Pioneer DVD codes that come in the remote manuals, since it's a 5 disc changer I figured they might work, but nope. I also tried the Pioneer codes for amp/audio tuners, thinking since it's surround sound THOSE might work, still no. Does anyone know the code for this particular system?

Also, I have a Proview PA-37JK1A 37" LCD TV. There aren't any Proview codes in the remote manual, so I did the "code search" and it found one, but the only thing it did was enable me to turn the TV power on and off and the volume up and down. When I pressed the "source" button to switch sources it mutes the TV, and when I press "mute" nothing happens, lol. So I looked up some other codes and a few work, but not fully. I can turn the TV on and off and the volume up and down, and mute it, but when I press the source button the menu comes up to select a new source, but I can't go to any other ones. What I mean is I can't scroll up or down the list, and pressing source again doesn't move it either, it just exits the menu. Also, the picture-in-picture controls on my remote (on/off, channel up, channel down, swap, and move) don't work with my TVs PIP, nothing happens when I press em. I've tried a bunch of codes, including the ones for LG, Sampo, and Samsung (saw somewhere online that those might work) but they all do the same thing, I've got power and volume control, but no PIP control and only half of the source control (opens the menu, can't scroll up or down to select). Does anyone know where to find a Proview code that will COMPLETELY work?

BTW, the remote I'm trying to do this on is the remote for my COX Cable HD reciever. It's a Motorola DCT 6412 III. The remote has buttons for all the functions I need, like PIP, DVD/CD, source, etc etc. Plus the options for inputs on it are AUX, DVD, TV, and CABLE.

Can anyone help me with the two codes I need, or offer me advice?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Which devices are you asking about? The Proview TV or the Pioneer HT? Which remote do you have?

If it is the Proview TV with Cox remote, try TV/0180. You may only get a few keys to work.like Agent51, but there's a way to add more.

If you are talking about the Pioneer HT with Cox remote, you may get a few keys with AUX/0013. I don't know if there's an easy way to get the others. If you have a different remote (maybe Comcast), there might be.
