I saw a CRT Tv with colorstream in action yesterday and was blown away. It was made by Toshiba. Are the lcd's just as good or better? And how does a Sharp Aquo 32" Lcd stack up to colorstream? Thanks.

If that Toshiba is like my old 32" HDTV, colorstream refered to the 2 Component inputs, it also had a DVI input. Nmlobo 09-24-06, 03:37 PM Neither an LCD or Plasma will give you the picture quality of a good CRT. RiddleofSteel 09-24-06, 04:32 PM Is there a reliable place to buy one of those CRT's or are they discontinued? dirtydan 09-24-06, 05:32 PM Is there a reliable place to buy one of those CRT's or are they discontinued? What size are you looking for? Franchot 09-24-06, 05:41 PM ColorStream is Toshiba's marketing lingo for their three color (red, blue, green,) component input on their products. It's mentioned on a RPTV and several DVD players I've owned by them. (It's no better or worse than any other component video products.) RiddleofSteel 09-24-06, 08:16 PM Hmm, you could have fooled me. I have a samsung 26 inch widescreen "HD Ready" and this toshiba blows it out of the water in terms of color depth and sharpness. I would like to get a 32 inch set. dirtydan 09-24-06, 09:17 PM Hmm, you could have fooled me. I don't think it does anything special, but it does put out a great picture. brianr0131 06-06-07, 10:23 PM Yea I have a Toshiba 34HF83 and the component inputs are called colorstream. I use the DVI and it's even better. This Toshiba has the nicest picture I have ever seen. It's simply amazing. Used to be my living room TV but now's it's in the bedroom. inteller 06-08-07, 01:10 PM yeah we got this one just for the bedroom, which is why cablecard was a requirement. only thing is I wish it had firewire but no biggy.
