Does anyone know of any DVD recorders that have both component inputs as well as a hard drive for editing purposes? I know of at least one model with component inputs but no hard drive.
Any help would be deeply appreciated!

Too bad you didn't mention which one you already knew about.
Anyway, try the Polaroid DRM-2001G, with 80GB HDD. (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=8516759&&#post8516759)

Sorry -- I saw a Philips at Best Buy -- think it was the DVDR3400 -- heard it made really good recordings through component inputs, although no hard drive to edit before burning. Thanks for the info -- I will check out the Polaroid.

My JVC DR-MX1S has component imputs as well as a VCR and 80g HD. Its a pretty easy unit to learn and use as well.

Sorry but I looked up the specs on this unit and it doesn't say that it has components inputs.

I don't think the Toshiba RD-XS55 has component in.
