I second that suggestion.....a tutorial on searching and descriptions of the different search engines would be great for new members....with a strong suggestion to search first before starting a new thread. I don't think ppl realize that most questions have been posted and answered at some point or another.

How can you search for a post #.
E.g. I am trying to go to a certain post, lets say #665.
It is realy hard to get there without being able to just
type in the post number somewhere.

You can not do it directly...but if you click on a post # in a post you can see the format in your URL in your browser bar. Then just change the post # in the url.
What is the correct way to do multiple word (ie logical AND) searches? I had tried "hd1000u In72" under the advanced search tab but the results come back will have only hd1000u in them or verse versa. TIA.

Try reversing the order In72 AND hd1000u . If one of the words has a large number if hits, it drops all but 1000 of them and then looks in the remaining for the second word.

Like this new feature where it searched and gave me options before posting or rather rehashing the same subject by a different name heading. Well done good brainstorming going on around the table.
