Saw this in one of those home shows (can't remember which one) and it looked great. The shower had the clear glass which allowed the TV to be viewed while showering.

Obviously someone is TV addicted. Watch in the car on the way to work too no doubt.

Do a web search on mirror tv. There are several sellers. This one for example sells the mirrors. http://www.twowaymirrors.net/tv.htm

Would need to be pretty tight seal on plexi glass or regular glass and tiled around the display but it could be done (and easier on new construction) for sure. I've seen these in show rooms before - the mirror LCD's been most common.

www.electronichouse.com

go to their list of top 100 products- there's a weatherproof flat panel in there.

I doubt you'll get this by the electrical code.... (but then again, there's rise up lcd tvs in hot tubs these days.

And wouldn't the glass need to be heated to avoid fogging issues?

You also might be one leak away from a lawsuit... :(

one of my relatives is a contractor. He worked with his electrician to put a 23" LCD into a shower. They had the space to build a small closet behind the wall with the showerhead. They built a few shelves for towels or whatever and also the digital cable box. They used a piece of Plexiglas that spanned the entire wall.

nothing like watching CNN in the shower

Have you seen the show Nip/Tuck? Christian Troys apartment has a very cool setup. Check it out.

I don't know about television, but I've seen telephones and radio/cd players in showers.

An alternative that I've seen all over the place is to have a 30" plasma hanging on a wall angle arm mount that's on the opposite side of the bathroom (i.e. the dry side), but angled so that it's visible from both the shower and the toilet.
