Would someone have some info on the following? After adjusting the settings on the D50, when I go back to the video input the picture looks allright for a couple of seconds then it seems to revert to another memory setting and is all screwed up. I have cycled through all of the memory settings and none will provide a good picture. I have tried going to memory setting #1 in the setup and redoing all the adjustments and then holding down the memory button for 5 seconds but this does not seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

sounds like you are unfamilar with the d50 tis one of the easiest to set up

Do you have a copy of the install or owners manual you can get on here
http://www.curtpalme.com/SonyD50.shtm
also take time out to read it carefully
then do a complete reset to the factory settings but you must be in service mode.
Once you have done this then RE CONVERGE your input and save, the manual will tell you how
I dont know where you got hold down the memory button for 5 seconds
to setup the D50 you must be in the service mode From memory you have to press enter, enter, up, down, enter to get to service mode same as a G70 from there you do everything
Please read the manual a few times before attempting setup make sure your pj is aligned to screen and the correct distance

Are you in service mode (ie: enter, enter, up, down, enter)?

Yes I have the manual and have read it extensively. I am in the service mode. It does state in the manual to hold down the memory key for 5 seconds to save the settings but when I do this nothing happens.

Most likely you have 2 memory blocks that are close and as the d50 auto selects you are having trouble that is why when you are first setting up a pj you should always reset everything to factory settings then with your input device connected EG dvdplayer do a full converge whilst in the service mode once complete then save as you say hold the key for 5sec that is just to wait until you see the pj response it should say saving to sevice data i think

drice12,

Try reading the section of the manual referring to "saving as standard data".

I think this procedure will get you closer to a better picture when you change resolutions.

Hi,

i'm having the same problem with my D50, I've reset it to factory data and adjusted it, but when I press memory for >5sec nothing happens... So I cannot have it use the settings for all inputs. Any idea on what I can do?

And please excuse my bad english.
