Hello I have a Psw-2000 sub, I got a good deal on it when I purchaced my KEF 2005 speakers. It was connected to a CyberPower Surge Protector and an HK635 reciever.

It worked fine until today :( when all of the sudden it stopped working. The power light goes on but there is no sound or hum when I touch the Line in cable with my fingers.

I was told that this is likely a power amp issue.

Is there any advice or troubleshooting I could do to fix it? I'm open to any information I could get?

If the problem is indeed in the power amp where could I find a replacement and how much is it?

Does anyone happen to know the part number of the power amp?

CE13,

Have you fixed the problem, as I recently encountered the same problem.

I have been using my KEF PSW2000 regularly for the past 3 years. Two days ago, I moved it about 1 ft. to the left of its original location, and it suddenly stopped working. The light on the subwoofer still turns from red to green when I switch on my receiver, but I don't hear any sound from it.

What could be the problem? Any suggestions?

Have you checked for a possible blown fuse?

No, not yet. Do I need to open the box to check for the status of the fuse? Also, if the power light is still on, would it mean the fuse is intact?

I did unplg and re-plug both the power cord and the subwoofer cable, and I touched the subwoofer cable with my finger, but I still heard nothing.

Thanks.

Its that chip you need to replace likely. Although others told me it was the power Amp, it wasn't.
