I have a Panasonic DMR-EH75V recorder and all but one thing works perfectly. (as per pg 8 of their manual) it's possible to place JPG pictures on the SD card and then play them as a slide show. I'm using a Sandisk 1GB SD card (Panasonic said it was tested ok by them). Per the manual, I can format the SD card either in the DMR or on my PC (using Sandisk USB adaptor) using either FAT12 or FAT 16 formats (required).
If I place pictures in the "root" of the SD card, it works 100% correctly. But, (again according to pg 8 of the DMR75 manual) it should be possibel to create 1 or more "folders" on the SD card and copy JPG's there. Then, it should be that upon insertion into the DMR-75, (and pressing the right DMR remote keys, several "picture folders" should show up (like the way recorded videos do, or even I should be able to see the "folder structure". BUT * NO JOY* - if I create ANY folder (sub-directories) on the SD card, then upon insertion only JPEGs in the root are shown, no folders are displayed and no slide shows of the folder contents are possible. Call's to panasonic tech have been (cry cry) VERY poor....they put people with ZERO tech knowledge on the tech line!
By the way, (also on page 8 of their manual) if I do the same thing with a CD it functions perfectly.
Can anyone help...PLEASE.... :)
