I read a lot about how porn will decide the format war. Has anyone how where to find resources that can help me to decide if I need a HD DVD player to watch porn movie?

I saw two titles, "Pirates" and "Island Fevers 3".

Pirates ONLY plays on WMV, not HD-DVD, digitalplayground says the HD-DVD is gonna be out soon.

Island Fever 3 is a WMV title too. It's 720p HD and plays only on your computer. It won't play in the Toshiba HD DVD players. I have this disc and tried. ;)

Interesting, so DP (ha ha) has changed their mind about hd dvd? I thought they were strictly Blueray?

Don't fall for Pirates being HD-DVD. Although it shows "HD-DVD" on the case they are full of it. WMV-HD only.

I had to copy the WMV (7.7GB) to my hard drive and stream it through my media center PC to my XBOX360 since the 360 will stream WMV-HD.

Island Fever 3 looks much better than Pirates, although Pirates is a better "movie".

I'm sure the REAL HD-DVD stuff will come out eventually.

Do you have a source for that? The last I read was that DP is a Blu-ray exclusive.

I wonder if DP will allow me to exchange the WM9 Pirates and Island Fever 3 discs for the REAL HD-DVD discs (if in fact the rumour is true). They should at least give us some fort of discount. Who buys the same porn title twice, on DVD that is. I'm sure many did when the VHS tape wore out :)

Unfortunately I deleted the email that it was coming out for HD-DVD from DP.

I unfortunately ripped them a new one over the "HD-DVD" and the DVD Forum should be having their head for the use of the HD-DVD and they won't answer me back again.

It's easier to do than that on the 360, just put the Pirates DVD (WMV-HD) in the 360, go to the media blade and select video, current disc and then I think it's the second file listed. Worked for me....

Makes you think maybe via a firmware upgrade the Toshs could be able to play WMV-HD. Its not like Microsoft doesnt like the HD-DVD format :D

What the hell??? An Island fever movie without Tera??? That's just.... not right

I was hoping for that "upgrade" to the Tosh's as well. I mentioned it and got slammed by all the people here that supposedly know everything that is technically possible with the Tosh. I just stopped mentioning it. It would be cool though. It would make more titles available to HD DVD owners too :)


Island Fever 3 only had 2 Tera scenes as well. Since she wasn't on any of the "behind the scenes" and "making of stuff" just one blooper I think, I'm guessing they were scenes not used in the 2 first movies. Not to mention they were in a completely different setting from all the other scenes in the movie, of a lower filming quality, and appear to have been "stretched" from 4/3 or at least matted to make it fill the 16/9 screen.

Well I put IF 4 and the Campy Massacre movie on pre-order. The hope is that they will eventually come my way.

Sounds made up but my gf is going to love this.. Any release dates? $50 isn't that bad... HD-DVD Porn will have more replay value than any movie I own... Its genius.. Who in their right mind wont watch/enjoy HD Porn?

Awesome! That's the first HD-DVD release that I find worth it. I can't tolerate story lines and plot's in porn.
