Ok so I know this horse has been beaten to death and curbstomped to oblivion. But I have just gotten a nice hefty budget to invest in an LCD widescreen monitor. I have narrowed it down to 3 of them. I was wondering if you good folks can help me make a choice. I want to have the best possible display for my Xbox 360. Also keep in mind the Xbox360 will have 1080p upgrade soon so I don't know if that makes a difference in monitors. I'm not the expert, you guys are. Anyway here are the choices i've narrowed down to.

Westinghouse Digital
22" Widescreen Monitor
LCM-22w2

Viewsonic
22" Widescreen Monitor
VX2235wm

Dell
24" Widescreen Monitor
2407WFP

Feel free to offer any other suggestions. As you can see my highest budget is what the Dell is worth, around 700. Obviously that doesn't mean that I just want to spend the most money; I want to get the best monitor for 360 use MAINLY. Some of these monitors have different inputs like component/VGA/HDMI. I think the Dell and Westinghouse support all of them whereas the Viewsonic I believe only supports VGA. I may be wrong. Anyway I appreciate any and all advice.

Oh I should also mention...I plan to use the monitor for both 360 and PC...So i'm assuming having multiple inputs would be a plus. Although I dunno if it's really an issue as there are some switches out there that are fairly cheap no?

I also plan on using my computer speakers as well. They plug in via baby jack. Is there some sort of adapter out there that I can use my 360's sound feed to play through my computer speakers?

Anyway yeah just wanted to add that on there too.

I own the Dell 24 inch. I have a Mac mini, Macbook, a Dell desktop and my 360 hooked up to it. The main reason I purchased it was because of all of the inputs. I'm quite pleased with the picture (you will have to play around with the settings to get the 360 picture just right).

Sorry to bring back an old post.

I am thinking about getting the VGA cables for my X360 so that I can use a 22" LCD computer monitor that is 1680x1050. My question is, if I set the x360 for widescreen 720p or 1080i, will it fill up the whole monitor or just look like a small window with black space around it?

with the VGA cable you choose screen resolutions, not 720p, 1080i, etc. 1680X1050 isnt a native choice yet, but you can choose another resolution with the same aspect ratio and scale to the native res, you shouldnt have to deal with a black box around the picture or anything like that.

and to the OP

the Westinghouse LTV-32w6 is 32" and 700 bucks, you could use that for 360 and PC, and have a lot more real estate than the 24" dell.
