I got the street date info from our stores distributor. They are pretty reliable when it comes to this. They've been accurate so far with all of their announcements.

No details on which release it is, but i would assume its the newest one.

That's about it. They just put this info up on their site for preorder. So i'm sure they will be adding more info in the coming days.

I have the Japanese Black Rain (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097694/) on DVD, and it's a much more interesting movie.

Might be a bad idea. There are a couple of japanese language scenes in the movie. Since the jap. HD-DVDs don´t normaly have english subs, you won´t understand a thing during these scenes (unless you speak japanese of course ;) )

Seen the film quite a few times to know what's going on.

BEen waiting for a decent version of Black Rain ! I hope they clean it up and work on the sound !

As usual, I would most likely buy the HD DVD versions of both, unless the HD DVD is the combo version.

THis has been around for sometime I beleive and Failure to Launch Failed to Launch............Release date is TBA as of now

Paramount pulled the title for unknown production reasons in January. Most likely it has to do with the Blu-Ray release more than the HD-DVD release, this is the same issue with Warner Bros. not releasing titles. Both Paramount and Warner Bros. want to be neutral now, so if the Blu-Ray version doesn't work then the HD-DVD version is delayed until the Blu-Ray is ready. Right now we're hearing April for "Failure To Launch", but of course that can change if more problem arise.
