I got this unit about 3 weeks ago. I have several older models, including the E500, T6070, EH50 and E95, but I've never seen this before.
The last few days, I've set the EH55 for timer recording. Sometime during the day, however, something freaks out the unit and the show doesn't record, the program schedule is gone, as is the TVGOS which has to be reset overnight. And the TVGOS has to go through the whole process, with me telling it which lineup I get and where I live, so it wouldn't reset w/o my intervention.
So the message that shows on the tv screen is:
" Press ENTER. The last recorded title might have partially been lost because of the problem with the disc. For successful recording, please try another disc."
I called Panasonic and they told me to reformat the disc. They couldn't explain what this message meant since it appears even when I haven't recorded anything since the last time I got it and reset the unit.
They said they've never heard of this with the EH55 which is supposed to be a stable unit.
Has anyone else encountered this? The unit is unusable as is since it can't record anything using the TVGOS, although I have been able to record using a manually set program.
