I just finished watching the Omen from netflix and although I or anyone can get the DTS HD lossless track yet the core 1.5 Mb DTS soundtrack was really unbelievable. The video is top notched as well. I will definitely buy this disc tomorrow. Hat off to Fox for this super disc. I want Damien dead hehehe :p

Sounds good! :) I don't really like the Omen but I'm glad its a good release. I just got done listening to Black Hawk Down and wow was that an unbelievable sound track. (good PQ too!)

You're from North America, right?

What you said is precisely the opposite of what you meant.

I like this title too. Better film than I expected. The SD DVD had an awesome (reference) soundtrack too. Can't wait (someday) to hear it lossless.

Just got this as well. Gonna try to check it out on the weekend. Does anyone notice that there doesn't seem to be any security stickers on these Fox titles, or is it just me?

There's no reason to have security stickers. People won't know what to do with the BDs they stolen. :D :D :D Things might change five years down the road though.

I, too, thought that The Omen's sound was good. I differ on the video. I think it's average at best. The closeup shots looked sharp but longer shots consistently looked not as detailed.

Damn you should submit a resume for a blueray reviewer for some website. The video is not as detailed? You are out of you mind, man. And I remembered you were the person who said Dolby Digital sounds beter than DTS on another thread. Now you admitted that the Omen's sound was good. :(

I don't dislike DTS at all. That I'm partial to Dolby at 576+is just that. As far as the video is concerned, I'm not easily impressed. I'm jaded! ;) I've seen alot of HD already. Look at the longer shots, they don't look as detailed as I typically see on most AVC or VC1 discs. I didn't call it lousy. It's not.

I'm not as mean as Rex Reed , am I? ;)

Any more opinions on the video quality of The Omen?
Thanks

Yes, it rocked!

I have perfect vision and I can't focus on things in the background either when I'm paying attention to something in the foreground. Look where the director wants you to look and you'll see an amazingly clear picture!

I also really enjoyed the audio.

The movie itself wasn't as good as the original, but this one was well acted.
