I have narrowed down my LCD choices to the Samsung 4696 or the Sony 46XBR2. The Samsung is probably a better value as the price is quite a bit less, but will I be sacrificing any PQ? Also has Sony adressed the cloudy issues with uneven blacks? I really like the casing of the XBR2, it just looks super hot sexy sweet.

What else should I be considering as I get ready to pull the trigger?

I just bought a Sony KDL-40V2500, and I'm considering returning it and getting a Samsung LN-S4096D instead. The clouds on the Sony are definitely ruining my TV viewing experience. I would love to hear if folks have experienced issues with the Samsung.

The Samsungs have the clouds too, mine included. It doesn't seem as wide spread or as severe as the Sonys.
