I appologize if this should be posted in a particular thread but I am in dire straights right now.
My ps3 20gig will not get recognized by my LG RU-44sz63d DLP. I have a monoprice hdmi to DVI conversion cable hooked up to the DVI Input of my TV. The TV is HDCP Compliant and can accept 1080i and 720p signals. Theoretically everything should fine. Yet I get "no signal" from the DVI input.
My comcast motorola box works fine with the same connection. I even lugged the PS3 over to my local best buy and circuit city, but none of their TVs have DVI Connections. Calling Sony and LG have is of no use as they have no idea. If someone out their with a similar setup can connect to their DVI DLP then I can rule out my PS3 and claim my Tv as the culprit. This is really frustrating.

The guy at sony told me it's a known issue. Mine doesn't work either. I'm trying to use a DVI cable with a male hdmi adapter. My projector is HDCP.

I was able to get the PS3 to work on this same television using your exact setup (dvi with hdmi adapter). Just make sure you select DTV input instead of the PC input as a source.

I tried HDMI to DVI cable it was a no go  , did all the crap that sony sent me and read on other forums  . I am going to give the DVI cable with a HDMI adapter and see if it works. If so I will post the results for others as proof so no need for others to waist money on a gamble, unless you like to gamble.
