Help!! I have tried to get my PS3 to work with my Projector through the HDMI to DVI and am having no luck. When I run the HDMI to my JVC 46' RPTV it works fine. Any ideas what could be causing it. I have turned off the auto input feature in the projector, so it just stays at the digital input then it goes to the infocus logo. I really want to use the digital connection, but looks like I'll have to use component.

I have having the same problem. I have a DVI cable using an HDMI male adapter and its not working. I've tried multiple cables and adapters. My projector is HDCP.
Please call SONY about it.

Gentlemen, I think I have a good solution for you. I was having the same exact problem. I have the sp5000 and a 60gb ps3. I looked at a number of sites with descriptions of similar ps3 problems with other projectors. The guidance was to have the ps3 turned off (the switch on the back of the ps3, not just the touch power button) and to have the projector turned on first, then take off the auto source option in the projector menu. This way it will stay on the hdmi source channel. I then turned on the ps3, and on my projector I went to the composite source connection (you can do component if you have that hooked up, but you have to make the ps3 menu changes on an already working source connection). I went into the ps3 menu and went to change the display option and chose hdmi. Once I did that I had to go back to my hdmi source connection on my projector and it worked. From what I have seen in other threads the key is having the ps3 off and the projector on first, and then making sure the projector is not set to auto source so that it won't automatically keep scanning. It worked for me, and I hope it helps you guys out there who have the same problem. Good luck!
