Hello all, does anyone own the Sony KP-46WT500 widescreen projection tv? I am trying to adjust settings in the service menu and was wondering what settings anyone with this tv has made there  . If anyone with knowledge of this tv and can help me out with the settings they had used, I'd like to know what you did before I decide to order the service manual. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
Thanks,
Brian

Greetings
Every TV has different settings. No two are alike coming off the assembly line and certainly not by the time they get to the home with all the different equipment plugged into it.
There are no default settings that are usable ...
Settings found in service manuals are typically for "rebuilding" the TV when you don't know where to start after major service work. They are not for blindly plugging into the TV.
We can help better if you tell us specifically what you hope to change or achieve.

Hello Michael, I would like to manually adjust convergence...I have already figured out how to eliminate "red push" and "svm" so that leaves the convergence as the most important thing to do...I think. My tv only has a "flash focus" button to auto. adjust the convergence and does not do a good job. I get slight "ghosting" of the image and thought that convergence would also help this...but...not sure. I also need to clean my lenses but have been affraid to take the tv apart....though I know I could do it.
Thanks for your help,
Brian

Convergence ...
go to the big fat fonts ... the coarse green ones. ... when there ...
hit 6 to cycle the patterns ...
hit 9 to get the cursor
hit 3 to cycle colors
joystick moves the cursor around ... clicking it locks and unlocks the cursor.
mute enter saves the changes ...
press FF to save your changes to the FF memory ...
regards
I have the manual for this exact model that I do not need, I also have it in zip but the file is to big to send - 10megs..

Thanks again for your input Michael...Is adjusting this as simple as lining up the cursor over a symble for each color (red, green & blue)?
Thanks,
Brian
