I finally connected my xbox360 with a vga cable to my plasma and I don't know if I finally found the perfect setup, but with this dvd, the PQ was a strong 4.5 - almost a 5. Granted animation seems easier to get good PQ, but compared to Ice Age II, this was immensely better PQ.

Story reminded me of the other ant movie, Antz. I was only able to watch 30 minutes before my daughter had to go to bed, but I could tell it wasn't going to hold my attention very long. Still, what little I did watch, the PQ was very good.

After 30 minutes you could tell you couldn't handle it for much longer. Yet you give it a thumbs up? Good grief does everyone around here just watch movies for pretty pictures? Why not just buy a Kaleidoscope and save your money?

Why not just buy a Kaleidoscope and save your money?Yeah, after I posted, I realized I made a mistake with the thumbs up. I really did like the 'pretty pictures'. Well, my daughter liked the movie so much she insisted on watching the rest so I guess she gives it a thumbs up for content while I give it a thumbs up for PQ.

Yeah, a kaleidoscope is much cheaper.I got it for free with my new Blockbuster online account. I just returned a couple of movies I got online to the local store and picked up this movie. Couldn't get much cheaper than that :).

Actually, it isn't that bad. I'm just getting tired of all these animation movies like "Over the Hedge". Just too many coming out nowadays.

I loved this movie which was surprising since the formula has been done before. Wonder if they will do movies on other insects? Still very good PQ and SQ. For me Bruce Campbell stole the show. I did not know he was even in the movie till my wife said he was one of the better parts the drew her in. It's the way he delivers he lines.

If you have not seen Antz or Bug's Life you may enjoy it more. If you have you have seen the movie formula, its up to you if you enjoy it or not.
