I am seriously now considering one of these(probably the XRGB3) I have some questions about them.

1: Will my dreamcast going via composite through this result in bad image quality?
2: How about virtuial console games on the wii(mario 64, and new legend of zelda)?
3: If I get compnent cables for my ps2/wii, will I still be able to have the benefit of 40p?

4: Most importantly, will this completly iliminate lag on an LCD 720p native resoluton HDTV.

I would love to hear anyones experiences with this product.

Thanks

1. Yes. Get S-Video, or better yet, a VGA cable.
2. Image quality will depend on the cables you're using. Obviously, Component will be better.
3. Yes, the XRGB-3 supports 480p input so you will get to utilize it.
4. Here's what you do: Bring your PS2, Component cables, and Guitar Hero II to the store. Ask to try it out on the LCD you are interested in buying. Enable Progressive scan in the options, then do the lag test (you don't need the Guitar controller to do this, a regular dual shock pad is fine). If it lags less than 15 milliseconds or so, then you know it won't lag enough to affect gameplay.

Nobody knows how much every HDTV will lag given really specific conditions. That's why you're supposed to test it for yourself. Don't be lazy.

Use "up" or "down" on the directional pad.
