A1 does.

Where??

I was looking... can't find.

I'm a "zoomer" and I'm friggin' proud of it! The heck with this "realitsic movie" crap. If I want to see a realistic movie I'll pay $35 to sit in a theater and eat cheap pop corn. At home I want a FULL screen. I don't give a RAT'S BEHIND if a few edges get trimmed! My problem is that my tv doesn't zoom in HDMI mode :(

The individual movies can have the zoom function built into the menus. Superman Returns I believe is the one I have that does this.

most of hte movies I have do have a zoom feature. Can't say the Add-on itself does. However, why bother with a zoom you'd be distorting your image. :D

for non anamorphic widescreen stuff.

I was watching a 16x9 DVD yesterday, that was non anamorphic. It was letter box, and pillar box. if I could find the zoom, I could stretch it propertly to get the OAR to fill my screen.

non-anamorphic widescreen does stink on all the new Hd Disc players. Blu-ray and HD-DVD react the same to them in my experiences. I was using the physical zoom on my projector with them for a while, but with no SD Pal, or Multi-region support, I put my old prized scaling player back in my system anyways, so now all non-anamorphic widescreen is screened with that older scaling player. It was way intersting getting the zoom funtion to work properly with my Harmony 880 remote, but I got it finally.

To OP. Are you talking zooming in on a frame, or playing the movie in a different Aspect Ratio? If you want to zoom in on a frame, yes the A1 does that. If you want to blow up the picture while the movie is playing, I believe the TV would handle this by using it's zoom feature.

Most displays don't allow it when recieving HD content particularly via an HDMI or VGA connection.
Try setting the output at 480p and I'll bet you get your displays aspect ratio controls back though.

The 360 has a zoom feature.

HB Gamer, do tell... This would be a cool thing for HD-DVD owners that still have a lot of non-anamorphic widescreen titles in their collection like me!!!

How does it work?

The 360 has a zoom feature.

How? I have not noticed it on mine.

Actually, the A2 does... sort of, and I would suspect the A1 does as well. On the A2, simply changing the "TV shape" option to "4:3" will cause it to stretch 4:3/letter boxed content.
