Just viewed the R3 NTSC version of "The King and the Clown (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492835/)" last night and was completely blown away by the PQ. The story line is great, the DTS sound track is wonderful and the PQ was awesome! The colors, and there are many, just leaped off the screen. This is a just a great movie all the way around!

I saw this a couple months ago and agree that the story was quite good. The PQ/SQ was faultless, although I think the colors were a little muted in some scenes. My wife likes the actor who played girly-man, but I can't stand him. Apparently he's like that in real life too.

Is there any other cheaper places to purchase than Yes Asia? They have it for $35. I see the R0 single disc version with dolby for <$10 and the R0 single disc with dts for $20.

YesAsia has the Taiwan version (http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-c/section-videos/pid-1004535604/) for $14.95, that's the version I've got. It does have the DTS soundtrack.
The colors on this DVD are definitely not muted, they are very vibrant. This is one of the best looking SD DVD's I've seen.

How is the subtitle?
The only thing I noticed were a couple of places where it flashed by a little too quick.

Anything else I should get to get my order over $25?

For sure get a copy of the korean movie "The Host"! You like it. Sci-fi, and has been mentioned several times very favorably in Asia in general. If you don't have it already, look at the Lady Vengeance/OldBoy triple series...

$30 special edition for The Host? Ill have to wait for it then because the other two discs probably arent subtitled. I found the single disc for $20 (pre-order) but thats still too much.
ugly cover for single disc

I saw The Host with the director at the TIFF. The movie wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. It was a Hollywood film in Korean, written like a Hollywood film. It's a comedy first and foremost, so I'll give it a little credit since most Korean comedies don't do much for me. I found that I (along with the rest of the audience) laughed out loud more then once, which to me shows it did what it intended to do. While the movie itself held my interest for the most part, the monster was pretty pathetic, especially seeing as who designed/created it. Not a bad movie, but nothing memorable either. Wasn't as good as Ki-Duk's TIME (Which I'm still convinced is the best Korean film of 2006 although many people find him movies a bit too much). Of course, South Korean film in general has been pretty disappointing in 2006. I actually wonder if this isn't the worth year of South Korean film since the new millennium ;( I've seen maybe 15 of the 2006 (released in theatres in 2006) Korean Films and I'd like to own maybe 1 or 2 on DVD. The rest I didn't care for.
Anyhow, I'd wait to rent The Host or at least before you drop big $$ on an LE. If the 1 Disc is $20 or so it's not a bad watch at all. I'm sure a lot of people are picking it up because of the over-hype and the fact that it was marketed as a Horror, which the director himself was quick to debunk at the screening I attended. He actually made it a point to say that the company backing the film forced the marketing idea, where he wanted it marketed as a family comedy.
