Guys!

Time for another BlendZilla Open House!!!!!! Any folks in or visiting the Phoenix area between now and SuperBowl are invited to RSVP by phone or e.mail, at least one day before, and stop by for some football, HD anything off the Dish HD satellite, or a DVD of your choice on our nine foot wide Stewart screen. New Years' Day no problem.

See this exceptionally powerful system for yourself; see what LC CRT contrast ratio coupled with near 500 ANSI lumens can do, the most involving and compelling viewing experience possible. Your personal IMAX......

Denver over Cards, damn............

The beer is on me!!!!!!!

Geez, there have been some frighteningly great screenshots posted lately. I wished, I really, really, really wished I could attend. But I can't. These screenshots will have to do.

Hey Tim,

Looks like we will be down in the Mesa area in late January. Got some problems with a trashed rental unit. Will give you a shout when we get the dates firmed up. Should be the highlight of the trip. Finally get a face to face with you.

Mad, I can't believe I missed this.....

I used a Kodak Easyshare Z740, set it on a tripod, set the shutter to night mode and wallah. :)

It's easy though when you have 2 G90's lighting up that SMX screen. The color balance on that screen is unbelievable.......

Cliff

P.S.
Distance from the screen was about 15ft. Did I say that 2 G90's were lighting up a 11ft 3" wide SMX screen without being over driven at 9FL? Yummy.

Can you please explain the difference between a double stack and the Blendzilla also what are the pros and cons of each?

I truly enjoy the over 10 feet wide screens. Can a curved screen be used with the
blendzilla?

Whats the 2007 price of a blendzilla? Like most technology I expect it to be less expensive then it intial release.

Thanks,

Joey

A side stack means the projectors are toed in and matched pixel to pixel across the entire screen height and width; this is tedious to align and maintain and one still does not use the optimum phosphor area available on the tube faces; one uses 60 to 75% max.

Edge blending is a technology not often seen outside of supercomputing labs; the processor is broadcast quality and lets us shoot the projectors straight ahead, max phosphor height is enjoyed, each projector need only reproduce 60% of the 1920 pixel basis for HDTV; an overlap zone of 20% proves much easier to maintain:

We have not tried this on curved screens, a flat screen of 1.0 gain is recommended, viewing angle is the entire room.

Do come visit soon here in Phoenix!!!!!!!

Guys!

We had a nice visit from Gary Fritz, who was in town visiting family......Gary suffered a jaw-drop in the third quarter of the Rose Bowl and was carried from the field...... :D To give some reference, Gary is about six foot two.

6'4", actually (that's 193cm for those not handicapped by English units) -- that's a BIG screen!

Beautiful image. And a very nice screenshot, too, Tim! Handheld no less! I think you should give lessons on how to take screenies...

Guys!

We have had some very enjoyable visits during our Open House here at E-Tech Phoenix and we expect another fifteen or twenty visitors between now and SuperBowl. We have not taken BlendZilla to the East Coast yet but that is about to change......those near Washington DC will soon hear announcements for the BlendZilla Meet East, pencil in May 12th, details to follow!!!!!!!!
