Hi, I previously used my schools GL2's and was using it to get footage off of a vcr tape to put on to minidv for use on my computer. I recently got an HC3 and was curious how to do this with my new camera? If not possible what are my other options to get vhs or dvd onto my computer?

the only input on the HC3 is firewire (DV)

you will have to get some sort of capture card or USB thing for you PC now

you should still be able to do that with HC3, just read the manual. I would find it hard to believe that HC3 being a DV cam wouldn't be able to do something every other DV cam can do.

Not possible. Plain and simple. No passthrough option, sorry.

You need to get some sort of capture card on your PC which can capture analog signal or use a different DV cam which has passthru option and capture it through 1394.
