My OPPO DVD player doesn't output the sound over the HDMI line (just the video), but it has a separate optical output.
My Sony STR-DG1000 A/V unit seems to expect both from the HDMI connection. As far as I can tell, I cannot tell it "here's the video and there's the sound" and then output both combined over the HDMI connection to the TV.
Can anyone help...?
