I tried the website and the checkout, but the online form only allows shipping to Canadian addresses. So I guess the answer is no for those of us south of the border. :mad:

Yea, ok. The smart ones were those who sold pre-orders for thousands. No one in their right mind is going to pay more than $50 above retail - and that's being generous. Factor in the ebay fees and you just wasted your time selling something.

This is what I see north of toronto. Even though I was able to pick up a 2nd 60GB after I found out bestbuys had new shipment, these things are still selling out very quickly. WIIs and PSPs also sold out quickly in Walmart (which had the lowest PSP price). [ The only reason DS-lites didn't sell out was because they had huge huge inventory ].

By January, I suspect that there will be stock in many stores as some will be returned, and the manufacturing problems seem to have been cleared up.

Well that was fun. Let's see if the site will get another 1K order. See how fast that inventory goes. :D :D :D

Got one at about 800 left, just randomly went onto futureshop.ca and there was the big signage. Started at 913 left, 3min later down into the 800s. Decided to bite after passing on one in store last week. They seem a lot easier to find than Wiis which I would also like to purchase for quite different reasons than the PS3. Only plan to rent BR and download demos until F1 comes out. Really only bought it for BR and F1 CE that will hopefully arrive in March. PS3 will hopefully arrive next week to hook up to my 2wk old 50"A2000.

One question, has sony confirmed they will eventually allow the PS3 to scale DVDs because I will return my 1wk old sony upconverting player if the PS3 will scale within a few months time, anyone know???

I ordered one during the 1000 unit sell-through - happily this brings Blu-ray into my house along with the HD-A2 I picked up last week. I think I'll be using this strictly as a BD player and an internet/linux machine, I can't say I'm overly impressed with the titles out so far (Resistance does look tantalizing, but I'm thinking that'll be a renter).

Nope, order wasn't even processed yesterday, today it says processed but the status says "out of stock". I'm hoping this is recording the current status of the item and not that my item won't be available. As I said, my order went through when around 7-800 were left so I'd be pissed if they didn't really have them to ship!

I know they have been bogged down due to that crazy Dec 24th 5pm (pacific) boxing day sale that basically overloaded the servers so I don't think you'll get yours by tomorrow. I opted for cheap shipping but am willing to wait a week or so!

Mine states the same as yours. Processed but indicating out of stock. I too am hoping that is the current status of the stock. I ordered when there was around 500 left, so I am expecting to receive mine as well and not be told it is "out of stock".

Good to hear, I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. It did estimated Dec 28th or Jan 2nd depending on shipping method but they have been taking a lot of orders for xmas/boxing day so delays are inevitable.
