I have a very tiny room with a 37" Sharp LCD. I was given a Bose "Cinemate" (same as 3.2.1. without the DVD player). Whatever the limitations of the Bose, I am perfectly satisfied with the sound in this tiny room. However, the instructiuons say that the big bass unit ("Acoustimass" or whatever Bose calls it) is supposed to be 3 feet or more from the monitor so as to not interfere with the picture. That is not ideal for me. I want it to be inside an entertainment center below the TV. Is interference with the the picture on an LCD a real issue?

LCD tvs are not affected by speaker magnets.

What about DLP unit's, I'm considering the Cinemate, but want the subwofer unit to sit right next to the tv, will this be a problem?
