Hello there,

I recently purchased an Inno and would like to hook it up to my Pioneer 74-txvi, but it looks like the connections are different. The 74 has a 'b' type mini-connector, while the USB port out of the Inno looks like an 'a' type mini. I think one is 4 pin and one is 5. I also cannot connect the antenna from the home kit directly to the 74 as it does not have the 'b' type mini-connector (like the connect and play antenna), but rather a 'f type' connector or somethin?

Are these two compatible? Will I be able to to use a female usb in between the two different cables?

I don't want to have to pay another fee for a connect and play antenna in order to utilize the graphics and controlibility from my receiver.

Thoughts? and thanks!

Scott

Let me clarify also by stating that I know I can use the line out on the Inno straight into the receiver, I was just wondering how to take advantage of the XM software inside the 74...

thx again.

Short answer is a definitive no.

the "USB" connector on the Yamaha is not really USB-- it's for XM's "CNP", or Connect-N-Play antenna/tuner systems. The USB connector on the Inno is really USB and is used for managing XM tracks and MP3/WMA music files using XM+Napster (or as a mass-storage device for PC/Mac)

Thx x, makes sense to me. It sure does look like a mini usb, but I'm definitely with ya.

It is, it's just not used for USB-- they did use the same connector though.
