How does the powerline HD distribution system develop these days? Any possibility?

I believe HomePlug AV will be present @CES and products will hopefully be available later this year. How well they work in an actual home conditions is still up in the air. Today I read an article that the TSA is looking at putting in a HomePlug/HomePlug AV system at an airport for testing.
