I have looked for about anhour to find any information regarding checking lamp hours elapsed.
Christmas Eve at 4pm, my exactly 90 day old 62hm116 (which is basically a 196 but numbered differently by Costco/Toshiba) lamp blew. I figured at even 10 hrs a day for 90 days = 900 hrs. Oops.....
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to check elapsed time for tv 'on' time??
Thanks, Jestmaty

anybody???
How can forum posters know how many hours are on their tv's when they say, "My lamp lasted me XXXX hours?"
I see it all the time, and I would be appreciative of anyone who knows how/if their is a setting on this tv to tell me how many hours it has been on.
Thanks....

Press the Mute button on the remote. Now press it a 2nd time but hold it down. While holding it down, press the Menu button on the television (not the one on the remote). This will put you in the Service Menu. Be careful here, because you can change things that will mess the TV up. Press the Recall button then the 9 button and you will see the screen that should show you lamp hours. You have to Power Off the set to get out of the Service Menu.
Starting on the 1/22-1/28 Costco has a $300 off coupon so if you TV is still down take that bad /boy back. Costco has an excellent return policy and you should have no troubles. I have the 46hm84 7209p and I am having some issues with it so I will return it and get the 62" 1080p nice upgrade and my total out of pocket will be about $100.
