Why don't you convert yourself to a HDTV and up your money...... in 2 years that $300 will go down the drain.

SAVE... trust me it will give you a lot more. Try Samsung 27" 4:3 HDTV.
You don't need to get an HD set to get a good picture and a digital tuner.
Both Sony and Samsung offer digital SD sets at 27". Both are $399, the lowest prices available.
Sony KD-27FS170 #399 Samsung TX-S2783 $399
I recommend the Sony.

yeah i actually saw that thread, but was a lil worried about buying a re-newed tv :(
Ya! Me thinks for just under $200, the 3 months full coverage that it comes with is good. I probably could get an extended warranty if i wanted to spend the extra money. I dont see any reason for that expenditure, as this set looks great and the warranty would prabably be almost as much as the cost of the set. :)
Remember this is the philips 27 inch flat tube tv 27PT9015D/37B with free delivery, sdtv, with both tuners for under $200. GL in your search HTH

Thats a waste of money. Who the hell spends more than $300 on a SD CRT. You can get a cheap used HD which is way better than that on ebay or craigslist.

$300 is way too much. You can pick up an Orion TVD2710 27" SDTV CRT right now at Wal-Mart for $150. It works pretty much like a Toshiba (also made by Orion) but in a different brand. And I have one right now. :)
