Greetings. This is my first post after reading these forums for a while. Over the summer I purchased a Hitachi 51F510 from a friend when he upgraded to an LCD. (He took good care of it, and only used it maybe 2 hours a day for a year or so.)
It has worked fine ever since, but over the past couple of weeks, every 5-30 minutes or so, it makes a single clicking noise, perhaps some sort of relay switch? It makes the same click when I first turn the TV on. (This is also the same noise that my surround sound receiver makes when I turn it on.) The picture does not seem to be affected at all by this clicking. Like I said earlier, the TV works perfect. In fact, my wife had never heard the clicking sound until I pointed it out, and now she hears it every time. Whoops! :)
Anyone have an idea for what this clicking noise could be? I thought I'd check here before calling the local Hitachi authorized service center. Thank you!
