I have the 8uk and all i really wanted to know what video processor would be the best for this plasma. The plasma would be connected to Directv h20. Any suggestions would be great. I currently have the dvdo vp50 but I am not sure if this is the best for 8uk and my setup.

I would not downgrade to a Lumagen because that's what you will do.

I have nearly the same plasma panel as you but the 6th generation commercial and i started off with Lumagen Vision HDP and later sold it and bought the VP50.

Never look back after this and very happy with the VP50.

Greetings

You lose the multipoint grayscale control if you stay with the DVDO.

The Lumagen's scaling is noticeably better than DVDO's, film deinterlacing about the same, video deinterlacing particularly of 480i the DVDO is significantly better.

I have 2 8UK's with the Lumagen VisionHDP's. 1:1 pixel mapping and calibrated. I am extremely happy with this. Just wondering what you found better about the VP50?

Lumagen HDQ....because of price for the performance
